WHAT SHOCKED US INTO ACTION
PLASTIC
MICROBEADS
SHRIMPS
BYCATCH
TURTLES
PANDA
SHARK
SEAHORSE
over 8,000,000 tonnes of plastic enter the oceans every year
tiny plastic beads in toothpaste and other products that are flushed into the oceans at an alarming rate
up to 65% of shrimps in the Northern Sea have been found to have plastic in them
only 10 % of all fish caught are actually eaten, millions of sea animals are thrown back in dead or dying
nearly all sea turtles are on the endangered list, some are criticallly endagered
why do we still eat endangered fish, their populations are so low that they may never recover. Would you eat panda or gorilla steaks
yearly 100s of millions of sharks have their fins cut off while alive and are then thrown back to die. Shark fin has no taste, its tasteless
critically endangered, sold as medicine and ornaments
From a school project to ....
Spot Share Clean Repeat
It started as a school project for an 11 year old, a project about the ocean and how to save it. The decision was reached that we need an app, to make it possible for active clean up groups, organisations and individuals to post their environment clean up events so others can find and join in planned clean ups. Post your clean up on the app and have it marked on the world map for all to see, from mountains to beaches and make it possible for others to join in and boost the participation. Aidan's original idea was to have a tool that allows anyone, anywhere to quickly find clean up events in their area. Hopefully we will motivate friends around the world to clean their world and join a community of environment protectors. The oceans need you now...
Thank you to all who donated!
The app is in test trials, soon in app store
uS
Living in Switzerland, having roots in Australia and Germany we love the water - frozen or not. Aidan started to snorkel with 3 years old and by now loves SCUBA diving as well as sailing, surfing, sup and everything to do with the ocean. Out of this love he decided to start protecting it....

THE BEGINNING
School project
In grade 5 Aidan chose a personal project topic about endangered marine life and eco-systems.

TURTLE RESCUE CENTER
Volunteer work
Worked with and released a rescued turtle which had eaten a plastic fishing line, this motivated us to clean up local beaches around the release area and initiated the idea to develop clean ocean app
2016 june
DEVELOP THE APP
With the help of afca.ch in Bern
We had a huge brainstorming and spent some days in a Design Sprint putting our ideas together - it was fun but also hard work. Thanks to the team from afca.ch which sponsored this first step of the APP
2016 juli / august
APP PROTOTYPE TESTING
The first steps of the freshly born app were taken, showing the first weaknesses and strength. Was nice to put it to the test but still quite some work to be done before release
CROWDFUNDING
Find us on Chuffed in October 2017
Thank you to all the people who help us raise the 20,000 swiss francs we need to pay back part of the cost to the software developers.
FINISH THE APP
Create a beach cleaning community
with your help. Then we plan to go on with some other issues like Microbeads ( Petition to stop them in Switzerland), Bycatch and
stopping Microfibres from washing machines ....guess we will still find some more

WEBSITE
OCTOBER 2016,

Check out the preview of the app !! New screen shots of the design and updates...
